"With three new digitally-focused courses set to launch this September which we have designed to meet the needs of employers in the region, it’s also great to see Harper Adams in the top three West Midlands universities too."
Harper Adams has been named the second-highest rated Modern University in the UK – and top three in the West Midlands– in this year’s Complete University Guide rankings.
The rankings – which were released this morning – also see the University rising in the tables overall. Every year to support prospective students in making informed decisions about their future.
The latest rankings, for 2025, are compiled by IDP Connect, which also runs the WhatUni Student Choice awards – were Harper Adams was named last month as the best University for Career Prospects for the eight successive time.
Simon Emmett, Chief Executive Officer of IDP Connect, said: "The 2025 Complete University Guide rankings are an essential compass for students navigating their academic journey.
“Rooted in unwavering independence, the guide empowers students with crucial insights, ensuring trust and reliability in their decision-making process.”
The Guide also produces regional league tables to help people find the right university for them in their area – with Harper Adams being named the third highest University across the West Midlands.
The University has also secured top four placings in both the Agriculture and Forestry and Land and Property Management subject rankings, and a top twenty ranking in Food Science.
Harper Adams Vice-Chancellor Professor Ken Sloan added: “We are delighted to have risen in this year’s Complete University Guide tables, and to be ranked the second highest Modern University in the country.
“With three new digitally-focused courses set to launch this September which we have designed to meet the needs of employers in the region, it’s also great to see Harper Adams in the top three West Midlands universities too.
“The Complete University Guide figures reflect similar approval not only in other league tables, but also from our students themselves.
“In the most recent National Student Survey, we were in the top five highest-ranked providers across the whole of the UK for delivering courses that prepare their students for future careers, while the Graduate Outcomes survey found 99.2 per cent of our UK-based undergraduates were in work or further study 15 months after finishing their degree.
“I’d like to thank our employees, governors, alumni and partners – and most of all, our students – for everything they have done to help continue our success.”
